🔒 What happens to your message

Your name, email address, subject and message are stored by us in encrypted form. The key for this is derived in hybrid fashion from X25519 and ML-KEM-768, and encryption uses AES-256-GCM. The key file is located outside the publicly accessible directory and therefore cannot be retrieved via the web – but it is on the same server, and our staff use it to open your enquiry in order to respond. This is encryption at rest, not end-to-end encryption: we can read your message. Anyone who copies the database without this key file cannot.

To be honest about it: the route to us runs over TLS, and TLS today uses classical encryption. The post-quantum layer protects the storage on our side, not the transmission.
